About Us

The West Sound Watersheds Council (WSWC) will provide the means through which local and tribal governments with jurisdiction over east Kitsap County and west Pierce County will coordinate and facilitate cooperative natural resource planning, conservation, and restoration activities in collaboration with federal, state and regional efforts.

The Council is committed to identifying, prioritizing, and implementing actions that result in the coservation and recovery of the Puget Sound ecosystem, recovery of salmon and the protection, improvement and conservation of water resources for people, fish and wildlife.

The WSWC works closely with the West Central Local Integrating Organization (LIO) and the Alliance for a Healthy South Sound. The LIOs coordinate local activities related to the implementation of the Puget Sound Partnership's Action Agenda.

Our meetings are organized by the Lead Entity coordinator, funded through grants for this purpose from the State of Washington. We are still in the process of developing our organization. Please use the "contact us" tab if you would like to have your name added to the meeting notices list.
