The Watersheds

The West Sound Watersheds Lead Entity is the eastern portion of Water Resources Inventory Area (WRIA) 15, excluding Hood Canal and Vashon-Maury Islands. The WSWC encompasses approximately 250,000 acres and includes the islands of Anderson, Fox, McNeil, Bainbridge, Ketron, Herron, Blake and Raft, the cities of Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Bainbridge Island and parts of Kitsap, Pierce and Mason Counties.

There are 360 miles of saltwater shoreline and more than 120 salmonid-bearing streams in the West Sound Watersheds area. Here is a list of some major watersheds in West Sound.
