The Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Plan was adopted by the federal government in 2007. It is part of the larger Puget Sound Partnership Action Agenda.

Kitsap Refugia Report

Kitsap County commissioned a report identifying the important refugia areas for salmonids, which was completed in 2003. Click here to see a copy of the report. (You will be directed to a new web page)

Limiting Factors Analysis

The Washington State Conservation Commission completed a study regarding problems, or "Limiting Factors" for salmonids in East WRIA 15 in 2000. Click here to be directed to the Conservation Commission website and links to this report, baitfish maps and salmonid distribution maps.


Puget Sound Steelhead were listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act on May7, 2007. The planning for the recovery of this stock is underway.
